Tales From The Garden is about an unnamed young womxn of colour living in a post-Apartheid South Africa. It chronicles her coming of age, which is disrupted by sexual assault. Through poetic monologue and imagery, she explains how her life has been changed since the event - which took place in London - and how growing up in a religious family has resulted in her not telling anyone about the encounter.
