A search for empowerment and pride, PYNEAPPLE tells the story of five young women from London and the high and lows of their journey to self-love and acceptance.

Erycah is a strong black woman, always burdened with the task of patterning and shrinking herself to make others feel comfortable. But the stereotype that people blanket her with is not the full story.

Jasmyn is mixed raced and struggles to find her space between "black" and "white". With whiteness comes superiority? Superior is far from what she actually thinks herself to be.

Lauryn is funny. But accepting her skin has not been easy. How much truth do her dad’s words hold when he is the only person who tells her she is beautiful?

Maya is what some would typically refer to as an "Oreo" and feels like she is always performing races after growing up black in an all-white space.

Ray is coming to terms with her sexuality and must find a way to do so whilst protecting her mental health.
