Off The Record with the Stars of Hamilton


The stars of the West End smash hit Hamilton, Jamael Westman & Ash hunter, will be joining fellow actor and Actors Centre Board Member, Elliot Barnes-Worrell, on Friday 21st September for our next OFF THE RECORD!

OFF THE RECORD has previously hosted the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Imelda Staunton, Sir Derek Jacobi, Gary Oldman and, most recently, Simon Callow, Jennifer Saunders and Mark Gatiss. The discussions focus on career stories, processes and look at what happens behind the screen and stage to make the shows we experience so successful.  It provides an opportunity for the industry to learn from their peers and the public to have an insight into the work and rigour that goes in to making artists successful.

Jamael Westman trained at RADA, graduating in 2016. Since graduating, he has appeared in Torn at the Royal Court and The White Devil at the Globe.  He now plays the title role of Alexander Hamilton in the London staging of the Rap musical Hamilton. It was originally played by the show’s writer-director Lin-Manuel Miranda in the USA.  

Ash Hunter is alternate Alexander Hamilton, with other theatre credits include A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Almeida Theatre, Antony and Cleopatra with the RSC and Light Shining in Buckinghamshire at the National Theatre.   TV credits include Death in Paradise, The Secret Agent and Wolfblood, all with the BBC.
