Become a TBT Gem The Tristan Bates Theatre is an award-winning, innovative venue with a critically acclaimed reputation for developing and promoting the work of daring artists. We offer a platform for them to experiment, evaluate and grow. To continue with our fantastic work, we need you!
Be a gem and support our "little gem" of a theatre. Your support will ensure that our flagship projects, the Midnight Matinees and Ignition, continue to give artists the necessary opportunities to test and develop new work. As a "TBT Gem" you will receive regular updates about what’s happening at the TBT, special ticket offers and most exciting of all you’ll have played a part in the creation of daring new work. Our Midnight Matinees are the toast of London and were recommended in Time Out’s "1,000 Things To Do For Under a Tenner", which urged Londoners to "ditch the club scene and dive into the world of the cutting-edge at one of the Tristan Bates Theatre’s Midnight Matinees." They have just returned from a sell-out run at Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe and went on tour to Croatia’s nu-write festival in November 2010. Ignition's strike rate for amazing new work is exceptional. Previous Ignitions have seen the development of the Fringe First award winning Crush by Paul Charlton, which toured nationally in Spring 2010; You cannot Deny Our Love by Anders Lustgarten which was performed at the Harare International Festival; and LoveSong by Che Walker which is touring the UK this Autumn. So go on... be a part of something special... be a gem... Ruby
