Set in a music studio in 1996, multi-award winning musical The Last Session is set in 1996 as singer-songwriter Gideon holds one last session to record the most important album of his life.

Living in an era when treatment for AIDS was still largely experimental, Gideon is sick of and sickened by the treatments and by the disease. To show his undying love to his partner, he plans to record a musical love letter. For this last session, he links up with some old friends and musicians and one unexpected visitor, for whom Gideon's sexuality changes everything. Will Gideon's wish ever be fulfilled? The Last Session is a rollercoaster of passion, emotions, hope and humour. It's a story of a man's past and his hunt for a future - a reason to live.
