Set in a music studio in 1996, multi-award winning musical The Last Session is set in 1996 as singer-songwriter Gideon holds one last session to record the most important album of his life. Living in an era when treatment for AIDS was still largely experimental, Gideon is sick of and sickened by the treatments and by the disease. To show his undying love to his partner, he plans to record a musical love letter.
