Operating Theatre Company

Established initially as a network for playwrights of all ages and abilities to develop their work, OTC has since emerged as a leading production company and developmental platform for writers, directors and actors alike. New Play Surgeries and twice yearly Writers’ Block weeks hosted at the Tristan Bates Theatre have spawned dozens of new works. These have been seen at the National Theatre, Soho Theatre and Birmingham Rep as well as in the USA and internationally. OTC runs regular free courses for directors and writers, giving those from all social backgrounds access to the arts and the most dynamic practitioners in the industry at no cost to themselves.
