Diverse City presents Written by Stephanie Jacob Gavin's a musician who has locked up his violin and no longer listens to music. Everything changed in the space of one day. "You run far enough, there's nothing. Just your legs, your feet, your blood, your heart. If I don't run, I want to break it all up." Jo runs for miles in her cell. Anger's shaped her whole life. It's driven her and protected her too. She battered Gavin to within an inch of his life. Now Gavin wants to meet up: but what for? Revenge or forgiveness? "You know where I'd be now if I'd been nice? The graveyard." And if they agree to hear one another's stories, will it make any difference? Do people ever really change? The Quick is directed by Lucy Richardson, whose recent work includes "HeartSpeak" (for Clean Break Theatre at the Arcola), "North Circular" (Royal Festival Hall), "Be Yourself" (Tricycle Theatre), "Measure for Measure" (Shakespeare International Theatre Festival, Gdansk) and "The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband" (New Ambassadors).
