An uneasy friendship is established as they drain a lake by day and sit in the pub by night, only for an inevitable but still unsettling divide to become apparent. Reviews for Michael McLean Michael McLean was a member of the Young Writers' Programme at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre, where his first play The Electric Hills was produced in 2007. He was then part of Paines Plough/Channel 4 for their Future Perfect scheme in 2008. He has written one play for BBC Radio Four and is currently commisioned to write his second. He is also developing several new plays as well as working on a new piece for the Royal Court in London.
