We’re turning our theatre into a cabaret and have some of London’s hottest singing, dancing, wise-cracking talent coming along to strut their stuff and show-off their skills. In other parts of the building we have some more chilled out rooms with introspective performance art and beautiful shadow puppet poetry. There’s no doubt about it, this MM is for everyone! In this strange world, beasts take the place of drag acts, entertaining and exploring taboos. Rich with surreal imagery with dancing cakes and wolves in sheep's clothing, Roasting: A Creature Cabaret is a beastly burlesque, both paying homage to and subverting traditional cabaret. Performer: Shaun May Tap Dancing, Juggling Phenomenon - Stewart Pemberton Stewart Pemberton performs an innovative and unique act that has an influence of American Rhythm tap but also combines the intricate dexterity of juggling... upside down! “Upside down juggling??!!” we hear you cry? Yes! If you don’t believe it come and see it for yourself. Beautiful Sin Sabrina Mahfouz performs Stunning shadow puppet poetry, providing the calming influence in the evening's activities. Welcome to My Funeral “We should rehearse our death everyday” Wiracha Daochai is a performance artist who spent 8 years of his childhood as a monk in Bangkok. Welcome to My Funeral combines live performance, video art and sculpture and compares Eastern philosophies of ‘mindfulness of death’ with western funeral rituals. Ravelled Sleeve Rachel Gomme is seeking contributions of experience, stories and tips on sleeplessness for a new performance, ‘Ravelled Sleeve’ which will be performed at the April Midnight Matinee. Ravelled Sleeve is a durational performance exploring the theme of insomnia, and the experience of time, through a process of knitting and unraveling.
