The Midnight Matinees return in 2010 with more mad-capped ideas and daring collaborations.

This month promises to be loads of interactive, on-the-edge fun. We're joined by some of London's most innovative theatre practitioners including Upstart Theatre, Coney, Alex Christofi, Crow Theatre and Folded Feather. Prepare to be taken on a journey that includes riots on Brighton Beach, a 1990’s school reunion, a circus in a suitcase and a post-modern pastiche extravaganza that involves cutting up words and making your own play.

Every month Midnight strikes, coaches turn into pumpkins and strange and wonderful things start to happen at The Tristan Bates Theatre. Suitcase Circus Folded Feather are bringing their amazing Suitcase Circus, a highly unlikely miniature circus performed from behind a jacket and hosted by a threadbare ringmaster's sock. Sometimes gritty, often mad, enter the wonderful and chaotic miniture world of Suitcase Circus. Puppeteer Oliver Smart, has worked extensively with puppets in theatre, cabaret, circus, film and television ,his particular fascination is with the rendering of character through the simple combination of evocative objects and natural movements. This 90s Reunion Gameshow Party Crow Theatre are a newly established organisation developing non-traditional and interactive Theatre. This 90s Reunion Gameshow Party (previously known as "this") is a mixture of Theatre, Games and Music, set in a bar where there is a school reunion taking place. Alex Christofi

Alex Christofi, a little-known poet and playwright (but one of our favourites) presents Make Your Own Play: Plays are just words, so we've cut up the words of some famous playwrights. Alex's previous installations include Man Continues to Breathe (public, Soho) and Eating Lunch (in conjunction with Pret a Manger).
