My Balloon Beats Your Astronaut is a dark, funny and surreal play about a lonely character, John Smyth.  When John goes to a mysterious location to collect a ‘prize’ he becomes embroiled in a competition involving painful tests and bizarre challenges. Just when he is on the verge of success he discovers he is competing against a rival who is just as determined to be a winner. What neither of them realizes is that they share a connection that means losing is not an option.
