Author of acclaimed plays Rope and Gaslight, as well as novel The Midnight Bell, Patrick Hamilton was one of the most promising writers of his day. But he was also a complex, damaged soul, an alcoholic, and master chronicler of London publand and the addled human hearts which haunted it. Using his own words and original material, this is his true story.
